I spent a long time figuring out the composition of this painting. I struggled with the placement of the watermelon. The painting finally came together when I added the knife across the bottom of the plate to keep your eye inside the composition.

All of the paintings are fabulous. This one (Slices of Summer) jumped off the screen at me! I love it! Encore, encore! Can't wait for the show so I can view all 50 masterpieces.
